The bionic knee that generates power

An adapted knee brace converts energy wasted as you walk into electrical power. Walking at 2.2mph will generate 5 watts and power 10 mobile phones, running will generate 54 watts. Researchers expect to produce a version that could be used by field workers in remote regions, within 5 years, and more advanced models for medical use within 10 years.
